Whole Foods 5% Day on June 28
On June 28, the Whole Foods at Calhoun Commons will feature The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance as the recipient of its 5% Day. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the MNBIA will receive 5% of all of the store's proceeds. So, visit Whole Foods at 3060 Excelsior Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55416 on June 28 to support KidsREACH, a program designed to educate kids about brain injury, sports concussion and brain injury prevention with fun interactive activities and materials.

Case Management Position Opening
Primary Duties:
The Case Manager is responsible for monitoring and implementing comprehensive proactive; consumer directed systems of support and advocacy for individuals, including all ages and cultures, which have survived brain injury and their families through implementation of case management for effective community integration. The Case Manager will be responsible to assist the consumer in planning and accessing housing, financial supports and other community services and supports needed to accomplish this goal. Bi-lingual/bi-cultural is a plus. Click here for a full position description.

Classified Ad - Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group in the Grand Rapids area
Anyone living with a TBI or their caregivers are encouraged to attend the monthly TBI support group in the Community Meeting Room at the Central Square Mall in Grand Rapids. The idea of the meetings will be to meet, talk about ideas and problems with work, shopping, getting around or anything that we wish to discuss.

The next meetings will be July 9, August 13 and September 10. All future meetings will be held the second Monday of each month.

We will be having a picnic for people with any disability Saturday, August 18 from noon to 4 p.m. in Longyear Park in Coleraine, MN.

This bi-weekly electronic publication is sent to more than 5,500 professionals, paraprofessionals and persons with brain injury and their families.

The cost to run a classified ad of up to 250 words is $20 for one edition or $30 for two editions. Ads must be submitted in electronic form to receive this rate. Ads submitted in hard copy will be charged an additional $15 administrative fee.
