Minnesota Stroke Association Strides for Stroke
The Minnesota Stroke Association Strides for Stroke registration deadline is fast approaching! Get your teams and team members signed up today! The Strides for Stroke event exemplifies the notion of an active stroke community and helps fund programs that benefit Minnesotans who live with the effects of stroke. Strides for Stroke demonstrates that stroke is not an ending.

The 2014 Minnesota Stroke Association Strides for Stroke will take place on Saturday, May 17 at four locations in Minnesota:


The last day to register online for Strides for Stroke is Tuesday, May 13 at 3 p.m. Registrations after this time can be made on the day of Strides for Stroke at the event. Registrations that take place after Wednesday, May 7 cannot be guaranteed a T-shirt.

Advocacy Matters
The 2014 legislative session is winding down to a close. Thank you for your time, energy and commitment to advocacy with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance. This year's "Tuesday at the Capitol" season was one of our most successful seasons to date! Join the public policy team and fellow citizen advocates at our upcoming Citizen Advocate Academy. We will celebrate our collective advocacy efforts, discuss what happened at the State Capitol on issues important to the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance and talk about upcoming advocacy opportunities to stay engaged!

2014 Consumer and Family Conference
The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance is pleased to present two Consumer and Family Conferences this year. Our first conference will be on Saturday, May 31 from 1 to 4 p.m.

This free one-day conference is an opportunity for individuals with brain injury, family members and loved ones to participate in workshops and sessions that focus on innovations in the world of brain injury care, therapy and rehabilitation.

There is no cost to attend this conference. To register, please call 612-378-2742 or 1-800-669-6442. Any requests for reasonable accommodations must be received by May 12.

Classified Ad Opportunities
We are pleased to provide an online opportunity for organizations to broadcast their message about job openings, services and more through affordable, convenient advertising. This bi-weekly electronic publication is sent to more than 6,250 professionals, paraprofessionals and persons with brain injury and their families.

The cost to run a classified ad of up to 250 words is $20 for one edition or $30 for two editions. Ads must be submitted in electronic form to receive this rate. Ads submitted in hard copy will be charged an additional $15 administrative fee.
