Welcome to the 9th Annual Walk for Thought
Sports: Play Hard, Play Safe
The 9th Annual Walk for Thought will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Como Park in St. Paul, Canal Park in Duluth, Silver Lake in Rochester, and new this year - CentraCare Rehabilitation Center in St. Cloud.
Since 2001, thousands of individuals who have experienced a brain injury, their loved ones, and the professionals who work with them have come together for one event to commemorate their strength and success as well as to remember those who were lost to brain injury.
The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota is excited to team up with former Minnesota Vikings player Randall McDaniel for the 2010 Walk for Thought Sports: Play Hard. Play Safe. This is the Association's first partnering with the Vikings and we are honored and thrilled to be working with McDaniel.
Sports concussions are a serious medical risk to our young athletes, and it is the responsibility of parents, coaches and administrators to make sure our young athletes are safe. The Association wants to ensure that they have access to all the vital information they may need to make timely decisions regarding players' health on and off the field or court.
