About Brain Injury

Many people find that services for people with brain injury and funding for those services is inadequate. People with brain injury don't receive nearly the same services and resources as people with other disabilities. In short, people with brain injury are being left behind, kept from returning to work, school, and home.

That's where you come in. We need your voice to be heard, whether it is through your own personal story about brain injury, through your experience in helping people with brain injury, or passion to make a difference. Join our community of advocates today by:

• Keeping up With Current Issues and Legislation
  Sign-up for our Action E-List by clicking on "Advocacy Action Center" below and then "Action E-List" to get all the information you need right in your e-mail inbox. 
• Contacting your Legislator
  When you sign up for our Action E-List, it will automatically notify you via e-mail when you need to act.  A pre-formatted letter can be used to send to your legislator or you can edit or even create your own letter.  Of course, we also encourage you to call and visit your legislator as well.  We have plenty of opportunities to meet with legislators, including testifying at committee hearings.
• Attending a Brain Injury Public Policy Training
  Knowledge is power and our citizen advocate trainings will help you sharpen your skills in everything from understanding the legislative process to getting comfortable with visiting the State Capitol.  Click on "Midwest Advocacy Project" below to learn more.
