Wednesday Workshops
The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota is proud to present Wednesday Workshops, a series of classes held once a month, discussing a different brain injury topic each month. Wednesday Workshops will be held at the Association office in Minneapolis from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The cost to attend one of the workshops is $40 per person. 2.5 CEU's are provided. Classes for the remainder of 2010 are currently being scheduled. Please check back in late June for a complete schedule.

Aphasia

This session will providing a brief background on the neurological bases for aphasia, apraxia of speech and dysarthria, in addition to defining aphasia, different categories of aphasia, apraxia of speech and dysarthria. Description and differentiating the medical approach and the social approach to intervention for aphasia, life participation approach to aphasia, and the underlying philosophy of the design and goals of the Minnesota Stroke Association Conversation Program.
