Volunteering is a wonderful way to develop new skills, develop as a professional and involve yourself in something you are passionate about. Join the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota volunteer team to help serve individuals in Minnesota affected by brain injury.
- Mentor Volunteer
- Your experience living with a brain injury or being a family member of someone with a brain injury can help others. As a Mentor you will provide an ear and sounding board during a weekly phone conversation with a Peer. Many Peers are looking for someone who "understands" and you could be that person!
- Speakers Bureau Volunteer
- Telling your own story about how brain injury has affected your life is essential in changing the community's perception of brain injury. By allowing audiences to enter your journey, you will give them the chance to understand brain injury and hopefully connect to supports and services if they need it or better support a friend or family member with brain injury, Your story can change someone else's life.
- Walk for Thought Volunteer
- The 2010 Walk for Thought will take place on Saturday, September 25. Over 2,000 walkers will come together in Rochester, Duluth and St. Paul. Greeters, Cheerleaders, Photographers, Site Preparation and Cleanup, Kid's Corner, and more positions are available. Click here for more information.
