2010 Walk for Thought Update
Thank you, everyone, for helping make the 2010 Walk for Thought a success. More than 1,600 Walkers participated in Duluth, Rochester, St. Cloud and St. Paul on Saturday, September 25.

A quick breakdown for each location:

  • Duluth saw 267 Walkers and brought in more than $9,900 in donations.
  • Rochester had 168 Walkers and more than $4,700 in donations.
  • St. Cloud, in their first year participating, had 163 Walkers and brought in more than $10,000.
  • St. Paul had 1,042 Walkers and brought in more than $70,000.
  • Sponsors helped us with $21,500 in donations.
  • Congratulations to our Top Fundraising Teams:
    • Duluth: TBI Trailblazers with $4,462
    • Rochester: Team Zach with $855
    • St. Cloud: Devan's Dream Team with $1,930
    • St. Paul: Free Thinkers with $4,385

While the Walk itself may be over, we are still accepting donations that will be applied to the final Walk numbers. Get your donations in today! It's not too late! This is the Association's biggest fundraising event of the year and its success affects services and supports throughout Minnesota for individuals with brain injury. 26th Annual Conference for Professionals in Brain Injury - Call for Presenters
The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota is now taking applications for presenters for the 26th Annual Conference for Professionals in Brain Injury, taking place on Thursday and Friday, April 28 and 29, 2011 at the Northland Inn in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Shop and earn money for the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota

Music, food and raffle benefit the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota

On Friday, November 12, 2010, the Thoughtful Music Fundraiser will benefit the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota with a raffle and food sales. Music is hosted by Diverse Emerging Music Organization (DEMO). Admission is free. Donations are accepted but not required at the door for the music.

Classified Ad - Apartment Living for People with a Brain Injury and/or Physical Disability
Each resident in Accessible Space Inc.’s Assisted Living Service has their own apartment. Staff are available 24 hours a day to assist with physical cares, do medication reminders and monitor health and safety issues. Housing is subsidized at all locations in the Twin Cities, Rochester and Grand Rapids. ASI will be opening a new subsidized apartment building in Alexandria. Classified Ad Opportunities
We are pleased to provide an online opportunity for organizations to broadcast their message about job openings, services and more through affordable, convenient advertising. This bi-weekly electronic publication is sent to more than 5,500 professionals, paraprofessionals and persons with brain injury and their families.

The cost to run a classified ad of up to 250 words is $20 for one edition or $30 for two editions. Ads must be submitted in electronic form to receive this rate. Ads submitted in hard copy will be charged an additional $15 administrative fee.
