Events

The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance hosts several events for the general public and professionals who support individuals affected by brain injury in an effort to create a supportive community.

Annual Events:



Each March is Brain Injury Awareness Month through Minnesota and the rest of the United States. We can take the 31 days of March and celebrate the journey, recognize all of the obstacles people have overcome, and recognize the losses people have experience and we can work towards creating better support and communities for people with brain injury.

The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance is busy planning the 31st Annual Conference for Professionals in Brain Injury, which will be held on April 14 and 15, 2016 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.



In 2016, the Consumer and Family Conferences will take place on Saturday, June 4 and Saturday, November 14 at New Life Presbyterian Church in Roseville. More information and registration will be avialable as the events draw near.



The 2016 Walk for Thought will take place on Saturday, September 17 at four locations around Minnesota:

  • Duluth - Canal Park
  • Rochester - Silver Lake West Pavilion
  • Saint Cloud - CentraCare Health Plaza
  • Twin Cities - Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton

Registration will be available in early June.


Events with the Minnesota Stroke Association


The Minnesota Stroke Association 2016 Strides for Stroke will take place on Saturday, May 21 at four locations around Minnesota:

  • Duluth - Canal Park
  • Rochester - Silver Lake West Pavilion
  • Saint Cloud - CentraCare Health Plaza
  • Twin Cities - Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton

Registration will be available in early 2016.



By joining the Minnesota Stroke Association ActFAST Run Team, you, your friends and loved ones are using healthy activity - the cornerstone of stroke prevention - to unite awareness-raising with fundraising. More information and registration will be available in early 2016.
